Tim Walsh

Tim is a consummate local, having grown up in Bethesda and attending high school at Gonzaga. From Gonzaga, Tim went on to graduate in 1997 with a degree in Business & Finance from Mount St. Marys, while also captaining the Varsity Lacrosse Team. Tim's immersion in the restaurant industry began at an early age, starting off at Bethesda Crab House as a busser during his summer vacation from college. As the summers progressed, he became a server, then bartender, then manager, and in later years oversaw their somewhat daunting operations. After college, Tim gained employment as a bartender in some of the city's busiest bars, including Third Edition and was a member of the opening teams for both Smith Point and Adams Mill. Tim's first ownership interest was in a small Adams Morgan location T.S. Muttlys which opened a few months before Town Hall with a different partnership group. After 3 years, Tim decided to refocus his efforts back at Town Hall and other upcoming opportunities with the partnership group, and thus sold the business and it lives on today as The Black Squirrel.

Tim is also a Partner in Sixth Engine, and currently oversees operations at Town Hall. Tim resides in Chevy Chase, D.C. with his wife Erinn and children Tim Jr. and Caileigh.
